Data Analyst

Mission Focus: This program will provide support to maintain a responsive, flexible capability for rapid prototyping of data analytic solutions and capabilities (data integration, analysis, visualization, etc.) in support of national security mission requirements. This team will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to assure national security missions to prototype advanced data analytic capabilities continuously and rapidly to Combatant Commands, Military Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, etc.), and Special Operation Force (SOF) as a service.  

Location: Ft. Belvoir, VA with time spent at NT Concepts HQ in Tyson’s Corner, VA. (Some telework may be an option during the COVID Pandemic).      

Clearance: Secret with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI 

Responsibilities 

As a Data Analyst you will work within a multi-disciplined team of up to 35 with skillsets covering project management, software development, data science, data analytics, geospatial analysis, UI/UX interfaces, plans & operations, and training. The team will be divided and deployed as needed to develop multiple and simultaneous operational prototypes and assist in the transition to end owners/users. The teams will be divided between Ft. Belvoir and NT Concepts offices and will include subcontractors. 

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: 

• Big data analysis to support improvements to processes and systems, including the consolidation and analysis of structured and unstructured data.  
• Creating mission focused and intelligent dashboards to enable process improvements from data-driven decisions 
• Identifying meaningful insights and communicates findings and recommendations.  
• Supporting the development of information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance.  
• Maintaining awareness of emerging analytics and big-data technologies.  
• Influencing development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results. 
• Recommending and developing new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of functional strategy and operations. 

Qualification Requirements: 

Education/Experience:   

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, technology, or a related field with 5 years’ experience in management of big-data programs and projects.
• Demonstrated experience with cleaning, management, optimizing performance, and processing large volumes of data in different formats
• Familiar with industry best-practices for software-hardware optimization when processing large data sets and have experience with machine learning, statically modeling, time-series forecasting, and/or geospatial analytics. 
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other parallel storage/computing processes 

Desired Experience: 

• Exposure to the following toolsets: Sharepoint, Testflight, Attack the Network Toolsuite (ANTS), Voltron, JEMA, Catapult, Skope toolkit, ArcGIS, Analyst Notebook, CIDNE, SIGINT-specific tools
• Development experience on platforms across DoD and Intel (e.g. AWS, C2S, JCF, DI2E)
• Understanding of Combatant Commands, Military Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, etc.), and Special Operation Force (SOF) mission sets as they relate to countering weapons of mass destruction/ counter proliferation
• Thorough understanding of the SDLC 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
