Purpose

PerkinElmer is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our Value Creation Office (VCO) team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Chief of Staff and the VCO team in driving data-driven decision-making processes. You will be aligned to one or several specific workstream(s), and will work closely with various stakeholders to gather, analyze, and present data insights that contribute to the strategic initiatives and value creation efforts of PerkinElmer.

Responsibilities

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

Dashboard Development:

  • Design, create and enhance dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against strategic goals.

  • Provide regular reports to the Chief of Staff and other stakeholders.

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability by implementing quality assurance measures.

  • Identify and address data discrepancies or inconsistencies.

Strategic Support:

  • Assist in developing and executing strategies to drive value creation within the organization.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making processes.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Effectively communicate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment of data analytics efforts with broader organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably within a private equity-backed environment or consulting firm

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI preferred) and data analysis and manipulation tools (Alteryx (preferred), Python, R).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Preferred Characteristics

  • Experience in understanding issues, analyzing data, deriving conclusions, developing practical solutions and supporting their implementation

  • Experience in accessing, querying, and manipulating data within ERP systems and enterprise applications, e.g., SAP, Salesforce, ServiceMax

  • Strong work ethic and motivation, extremely high ownership, low ego (getting things right vs. being right), no-nonsense attitude and โ€œwork hard, play hardโ€ mentality

  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and projects with different stakeholders; Excellent prioritization skills and โ€œnose for valueโ€ that focuses efforts on the highest ROI work
