About the position: 

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Architect to support the design and implementation of data architecture solutions within Flora Food Group. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring that our systems are optimized from a data architecture, data management, governance, and analytics perspective, with a particular focus on data distribution and analytics architecture. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of data structures (predominantly SAP) data modelling techniques, and integration methods, ideally within an FMCG environment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide support to projects with regard to data architecture, 
• Support the design and development of (predominantly SAP) data models, schemas, and data distribution solutions to support business requirements.
• Ensure the data model and architecture effectively support the business requirements whilst maintaining standards and best practice.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and developers to understand data needs and requirements.
• Support the design of data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and quality of data in conjunction with our data Stewards.
• Define and maintain data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for key systems.
• Evaluate and recommend SAP data management tools and technologies to enhance data processing, storage, and anaytics capabilities, as well as drive data archiving practices 
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on data-related issues and challenges.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in data architecture and analytics (Mainly Fabric/Synapse based).
• Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP data architecture, 

So, what does it take to be successful in this role? 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience (5 years) working as an Data Architect or in a similar role, with a focus on data modelling , architecture, Integration and Analytics. Ideally in a FMCG.

Understanding of SAP data structures, including S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and other SAP modules, and Data Analytics.

Strong knowledge of SAP data integration techniques, including SAP Data Services, SAP PI/PO, and SAP Cloud Integration/BTP/Datasphere and Boomi.

Experience operating within a data governance framework

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design complex data solutions to meet business requirements.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
