Job Description:
Data Architect Senior
Locations: Indianapolis, IN; Harrisburg, PA; Baltimore, MD; Denison, TX; Hingham, MA or Portland, ME. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). An ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of one of the above Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed.
The Data Architect Senior is accountable for managing and communicating the product and architectural information regarding enterprise data to support operational and business areas across NGS. With a focus on proactive consultation, guidance, and partnership, a Data Architect Senior brings accountability of delivering business values to the customers by providing critical leadership in bridging the gap between business and IT organizations and enabling successful business/IT partnership.
How you will make an impact:
- Develops logical and physical data models and other models as needed. Under guidance, manages project-level modeling efforts.
- Work with business and leaders of the Enterprise data team to develop the enterprise data roadmap.
- Provide leadership to agile development teams by translating the business intent, initiatives and features into individual pieces of the puzzle and facilitate the collaboration across development teams to deliver the overall intended value to the organization.
- Act as a product manager for the enterprise data solutions team to manage all the data related needs of the customers.
- Lead multiple product owners in Agile SAFe environment to execute the delivery of data products and solutions to our customers.
- Independently works with business users, development teams and database administrators to help develop, implement and maintain databases.
- Upholds sharing/integration standards and guidelines. Identifies the need for revision and develop change recommendations.
- Manages data architecture work in terms of architecture framework rather than one-time repairs or isolated solutions.
- Develops the blueprint for information.
- Administers the modeling tool.
- Performs initial and periodic project assessments to provide feedback to Project Management and Data Architecture Management.
- Upholds data quality standards and guidelines.
- Identifies the need for revision and develops change recommendations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years' data modeling and/or related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- This position is part of our FGS (Federal Government Services) division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Experience in health care industry strongly preferred.
- Experience in leading discussions with senior leadership, business, IT and other stakeholders across multiple development teams and facilitating the collaboration among them.
- Experience in both long term and short-term planning of the enterprise initiatives and features and guide other product managers and product owners in detail implementation.
- Understanding and translating between business and technical languages.
- Experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines in the Healthcare data field preferred.
- Experience in leading development of progressive information management solutions and end-to-end development life-cycle support including Agile and SAFe practices.
- Experience in architecting and implementing enterprise data warehouse, ETL processes and methodology, Master data Management, data integration, BI & analytics, and data management platforms.
- Experience and understanding of good data governance and implementation of data governance program preferred.
