We are an analytics team working on a multitude of technical solutions for EF’s Travel department making sure we create countless once-in-a-lifetime experiential learning trips. We provide vital functions in business developments, decision support systems and innovation. We work closely with the business management to make sure that everything we do has a direct impact on our business. We enjoy a fantastic work environment in Zurich, right on the doorstep to the Swiss Alps.

The role

• Develop and architect new data solutions in AWS/Azure cloud services using Terraform
• Develop and optimize back-end systems and provide support to the front-end BI developers
• Create and expose API interfaces to enable Data-as-a-Service connection to downstream applications
• Maintain current Data Warehousing architecture and processes
• Implement robust dimensional modeling techniques to achieve high quality reporting

Your profile 

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Independent, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail

Required skills for this role

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent professional
• 3-5 years of experience in cloud architecture and data engineering
• Excellent programming skills in SQL and Python
• Experience in implementing Big Data storage solutions (Snowflake), ETL/ELT processing, optimizing data solutions (Azure/AWS) and dimensional modelling
• Expertise in integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from structured and unstructured data systems suitable for analytics solutions

• AWS (Athena, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, ECS, EC2, API Gateway etc..)
• Git
• Terraform
• Snowflake – advantage
• Docker
• Python (boto3, pandas, requests, json, pyodbc)
