Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver Data Engineering solutions for customers on time and effectively
• You will work within the broader Guidewire data team to improve our internal processes and methodology
• You will participate in the creation of new tooling to support and streamline our project outcomes
• You are a self-motivated problem-solver who takes initiative and always puts customer success first
• You can adapt and perform at a high level in demanding fast-paced Agile environments
• Flexibility to work in shifts as needed (to align with AMER/APAC customers and colleagues

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency, and 5 years + in delivery type role
• Multiple project experience with functional programming concepts
• At least 2 years of experience with Scala programming language
• At least 2 years of experience with Apache Spark for big data processing
• Experience with performance tuning of Data Engineering frameworks for near real time applications
• Familiarity with designing and deploying CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts
• Familiarity working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity working with different cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity developing and deploying production REST APIs
• Familiarity working with customer teams to understand business objectives and functional requirements
• Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills

Nice to have :

• Insurance industry experience.
• Experience with the Guidewire Data Platform.
