Data Science Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Science Analyst to join our growing and dynamic Business Analytics data team . This pivotal role will involve leading collaborative partnerships across the entire business, working with functions such as with our Engineering, Product Marketing, Post-Sales, HR, Finance Operations teams to generate impactful insights and drive data-led decisions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing and improving our data science and analytics models to enable advanced analytics that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This is a new role within a growing team, and has meaningful growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with Finance and BizOps teams to transform data into actionable insights for executive decision-making and supporting our company-wide Operating Model (Monthly, Quarterly Business Reviews; Annual Operating Plan, Roadmaps and strategies).
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of our product and telemetry systems to bolster the analytical proficiency of our Product Marketing and Engineering teams, focusing on customer risk and product life cycle analysis.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance comprehensive financial models to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and their impact on overall company performance.
  • Actively participate in corporate planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new reporting requirements and optimize database utilization.
  • Work in close partnership with the Accounting team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial closings.
  • Work in close partnership with analysts in other functions to enable, design and develop dashboards that provide executives with easy access to crucial information and KPI data.
  • Establish and maintain standards for tooling, dashboarding, and data workflows to ensure efficient and effective data management.
  • Ensure the consistency and integrity of key data assets (Master Data Management - MDM).
  • Collaborate with IT to integrate new data sources.

Qualifications

  • Expert SQL skills
  • 4+ years developing data models in tools such as Looker, Tableau, Omni, Qlik, etc.
  • Professional experience analyzing large datasets and creating data viz and business intelligence dashboards
  • Knowledge of cohort based analytics
  • 2+ years Python/R experience. 
  • Highly quantitative, previous experience with forecasting models
  • This is not an entry level position.

  • The US salary range for this full-time position is  $120,000 - $150,000 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education.  The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US. Your total compensation package will be based on job-related knowledge, education, certifications and location, per our aligned ranges.
