Job Description

Known Global LLC seeks a Data Scientist for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Utilize advanced stochastic modeling, general additive models and causal inference techniques on first-party and Nielsen’s TV all-minute respondent-level datasets to develop AI/ML models to analyze causal effects of advertising variables on campaign performance, and predict the probabilities of targeted audiences converting in the future. Vectorize text data and run quantitative statistical analyses on feed-reaction and campaign-based data to build recommendation systems for traditional and digital marketing channels to optimize campaign spend based on performance, leveraging advanced mathematical optimization methods (linear, non-linear, and bayesian), natural language processing (NLP) algorithms, and platform’s web scraping Javascript-based Application Programming Interfaces (API). Build and deploy machine learning models and data pipelines to Known’s cloud-based environment, by writing scalable, production-quality code, optimizing performance and efficiency using advanced coding and automation techniques including Python, SQL, Docker Container, Git, MLFlow, AWS Sagemaker, LookML, DAX and Ray. Translate abstract business objectives (e.g. raise brand awareness) into a series of mathematical and quantitative KPIs for tangible optimization and statistical quantitative analyses using a deep understanding of marketing ecosystems as well as advanced problem-solving approaches and Javascript-based dynamic data visualization techniques (e.g. plotly, D3.js). Ensure knowledge sharing and coordination of efforts across Social, Search and Skeptic-engineering departments, serving as a point of escalation to onboard the team to technical tools, fostering a cohesive and innovative work environment.

Requirements:  Must possess a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related quantitative field plus one (1) year of experience in data science or data analysis in advertising or marketing (agency or client side). Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related quantitative field plus three (3) years of experience in data science or data analysis in advertising or marketing (agency or client side). Must possess experience with: Advanced probability and statistics modeling and analysis including time-series modeling, causal inference techniques, bayesian modeling, stochastic modeling, and general additive models; Machine Learning tree-based models and ensemble learning techniques; NLP including semantic analysis modeling and text vectorization; Advanced optimization techniques; Coding and Automation using advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, Javascript, Object-oriented programming, Git and cloud-based tools to manage machine learning lifecycles; Marketing data analytics including Nielsen respondent-level TV data and Meta Ads manager.  May work remote 100% of the time.
