Data Task Lead

Job Summary

Hive Group is a rapidly growing management consulting firm working in the federal procurement space. We are seeking an energetic individual with leadership skills to lead a team of data analysts professionals in support of our federal client. A Task Lead should be a high performing data specialist, with the ability to work closely with the client and be a consultant on data needs now and for future projections. This person is responsible for managing a small team (2-3 people) with growth opportunities. This person should have government experience and Tableau and Google application knowledge.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, performance, and re-use
• Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation of Tableau dashboards
• Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team
• Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations
• Work with large spreadsheets and/or adhoc databases to manipulate and manage program information whether using macros, queries, scripts, etc.
• Gather requirements and participate in development of a long term data management and reporting solutions
• Be comfortable working with web-based team collaboration
• Provide general support to the client including, but not limited to, analysis, data calls, financial management, risk management, audits, and project management related tasks
• Create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable at a glance
• Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and assist them in making informed decisions

Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• 10 years of data analyst experience 
• Government Contracting knowledge/background
• Consulting Experience
• Tableau
• Google Suite
• Data Analytics
• Dashboards

Preferred Requirements:

• Sequel
• Google Suite
• Power BI
• Data visualization
