Your Role and Responsibilities

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experienced professionally or as Intern/Student ( early career professional ) in software development
• Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages Java / C / C++ / python/ Go Lang/.
• As a Backend developer you will be responsible for development/ maintenance/ support of the services you develop through the full systems development lifecycle.
• Participate in the design and implementation of sophisticated software systems
• You will work with the Product Architects Product Managers to understand various priorities and work towards the execution.
• Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure a high level of software quality and to share knowledge with team members.
• Participate in and adhere to professional software engineering practices using such tools and methodologies as Agile Software Development Test Driven Development Continuous Integration and source code management.
• Ensure good code coverage. Support bug fixes during testing and deploy to target environments.
• Participate in the planning creation and execution of automated test cases and load/performance testing. Create/maintain technical documentation.
• You will be providing vigilance and compliance to various software engineering support and release processes e.g security stack upgrades that are free of vulnerabilities etc.
• Good understanding of containerised technologies such as Docker Kubernetes OpenShift Container Platform and/or Linux Operating Systems (such as Red Hat Ubuntu etc.).
• Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP HTTP etc.
• Experience and working knowledge of version Control systems like Github and build tools like Maven/Gradle.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
• Strong sense of ownership of deliverables.
• Well versed with agile DevOps and continuous delivery

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Development deployment experience on any Cloud environment (e.g AWS IBM Cloud Google Cloud etc.)
• Experience in SQL C/C++ Go Lang python development and various scripting languages.
• Expertise in Core Java Java J2EE MicroServices Architecture.
• Experience in federated data technologies like Gaian Db a distinct advantage.
• Experience in connectivity and ETL from multiple data sources desirable.
• Experience of distributed / HPC computing
• Experience of BigData & Hadoop software stack: HDFS Hive HBase Ambari
• Experience developing compilers and / or RDBMs
• Experience in system & low level programming (TCP/IP multi-threading IPC) on the Linux platform
• Experience working in a globally distributed product based engineering team
• Hands on experience in handling and debugging customer issues work with L2 support team.
