CACI is seeking a qualified Database Engineer for a fully remote position supporting a new US Coast Guard program.
AFMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.
What You'll Get to Do:
- Establish database management systems, standards, requirements, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design and architecture, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy.
- Work with clients to translate business requirements into a logical model that will accurately support and represent the clients entity relationship and flow of data.
- Develop the appropriate database framework to convert the logical model into a physical model including the creation and maintenance of schemas containing windows, screens, tables and columns and reports that support the model.
- Make recommendations to maximize operating efficiency, support storage requirements and vendor software updates, enforce data governance, ensure recovery is maintained.
- Participate in quality assurance and develop test application code in client server environment.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
- DoD 8570 certification in IAT Level II certification or above (Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISSP, etc.) or ability to get within 90 days.
- Must possess an Active Interim or Secret clearance.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases: MongoDB, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL.
- Experience working in a cloud based environment.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- AWS Database Specialty certification.
- Experience working on a team with Agile methodologies.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $68,400-$143,700. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
