Day Porter/Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This position involves a combination of custodial tasks, floor care, and general maintenance duties. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. • Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as needed to ensure safety and hygiene in the workplace. • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies to ensure availability for ongoing tasks. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. • Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including walkways and entrances. • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. Requirements • Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred. • Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is essential. • Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus. • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving equipment or supplies. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining facility appearance. • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
