DECISION SUPPORT ANALYST

The position will provide decision support financial analysis support to the ongoing maintenance of healthcare patient care services cost models and margin analyses. Monitor accuracy of direct expense reclasses. Monitor indirect allocations for overhead departments inclusive of selecting accurate statistics and validating the results. Maintain the monthly cost generation process using the Strata DSS cost accounting solution.Generate data sets and reports as directed by the Director to satisfy user requests for analyses, special projects, ad-hoc reporting .

Education/Knowledge:

Bachelor's Degree required.

Knowledgeable of decision support design principles generally and their application to health care provider operations specifically. Requires demonstrated healthcare financial analysis capabilities and experience. Experienced in creating financial models in Microsoft Excel. Skilled in bringing together health care costs, revenue, statistics, and generating profitability and margin data. Deep understanding of patient accounting processes and data generally, and Epic specifically is highly desireable. Requires strict attention to detail and reconciliation of financial and volume data. Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work with a variety of collaborators across Operations, Finance, and MIT. Experience with StrataJazz DSS module or equivalent healthcare cost accounting system a requirement. Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle PLSQL is desirable to collaborate with decision support data management, data integration, and data research activities and team members.
