Deduction Control Specialist

Position Description

Job Summary

What's the job?

• Core duties are investigating deductions to bring open deductions to resolution, performing analysis, and presenting reporting content.
• Daily work involves cross-functional engagement with Sales, , Business Controllers, Pricing, Credit, Finance, Tax, and End Customers.
• The candidate will be a part of the Pricing organization supporting the Interior Products Group (Architectural, Gypsum, Insulation). The focus is on meeting/exceeding Key Performance Indicators and driving standardized practices across the businesses to help minimize deductions using root cause data.
• The candidate will work to develop great customer relationships to improve our ability to resolve imperfect business transactions which impact full payment of invoices and CertainTeed profitability.
• No travel required.

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?

• A Bachelor's degree is required. Business, finance equivalent degree or relevant experience are considered.
• A thirst for investigating, unravelling, and resolving complex, advanced pricing and/or rebate discrepancies with customers. Requires outstanding communication skills both internally with mid-senior management and externally to customers. Good presentation skills and self-confidence.
• A strong systems acumen and aptitude. SAP experience a plus, in addition to SalesForce. Strong excel skills are a necessity.
• A comfortability in interacting with a wide range of internal stakeholders is necessary.
• An ability to work collaboratively within a high-performance team and a willingness to learn.
