We are looking for a Design Technology Leader to join the New York office Design Technology Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in working in a highly collaborative and creative environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead and contribute to office training (new employee/continuing education)
- Expert Knowledge of Revit required; Dynamo and Revit API knowledge a plus
- Lead implementation, training, and adoption of new Design Technology Tools, including the Gensler NForm ecosystem.
- Assist project teams with model management, project delivery, and digital deliverables
- Responsible for internal communication about DT events, training, and innovations
- Contribute to Helping to guide the DT team and on our mission of impact and process excellence
- Coach and support studios and individuals
- Establish documented processes, procedures and digital workflows (like laser scanning, VR, AR, and new technologies for AEC
- Conduct research and development for DT as applied research to industry developments and project needs
- Interface with Design Team and IT to ensure software is installed and operating properly
- Facilitate Design Technology meetings and Lunch & Learns with office Design Technology studio leaders and presenting to office staff
- Responsible for BIM Content Management, Review, Approval and Procedures
- Help support the management of the office Templates
- Contribute to Interoperability Management of BIM and other Design Technology Tools
- Assist team in coordinating applicable BIM models / deliverables for the CM's / GC's reference in the construction administration process
- Support development and compliance with the approved BIM Execution and BIM Scope Plans
- Responsible for the development, coordination, publication, and verification that all necessary configurations required for seamless integration of design and construction model information have been implemented
- Coordinate software training and team file management
- Help project team verify the design deliverables specified in the contract
- Assist team in coordinating file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent, with at least 8 years experience in design or construction practice
- Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit Architecture and related Building Information Modeling software
- Solid understanding of legacy CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Design Visualization applications such as Enscape, Twinmotion, Rhino (and Vray), Navisworks, FormIt, etc.
- Articulate communicator able to convey Design Technology concepts to all levels of design and delivery professionals
- An entrepreneurial spirit who embraces change and constantly seeks out new opportunities for creativity and innovation
- Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands
- Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and support to Revit project teams
- Punctual, able to adhere to deadlines, and have a strong work ethic
**The base salary will be estimated between $130K-$134K plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
