Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Developer at our Indianapolis, IN location, responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of specific product features in a development team.

Expectations and Tasks:

Analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Provide application implementation services within boundaries of project plan specifications. Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation. Implementation activities include implementation, tasting and integration. Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal. Extend, modify, or adapt existing design. Develop new subsystems. Act as Scrum Master in the LEAN context. Promote and support Scrum by helping everyone understand scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Facilitates Scrum Events on request or as required. Coaches the Development Team in self-organization. Removes impediments to the Development Team's progress.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related. The company will also accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related.

Work Experience:

Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:

• Implement back-end application services with Java and Spring Boot;
• Implement web application front-end with JavaScript;
• Database concepts, including SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL;
• Design, implement, and execute automated test plans, including unit, integration, and end to end tests;
• Develop and Maintain CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub and Jenkins; and
• Identify and fix system vulnerabilities to make applications more robust.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $112,944 - $141,030. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $112,944 - $156,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
