Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.
Summary/Objective:Elevations Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is seeking a Development and Communications Manager to help grow our community impact. This position will play a key role supporting the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, communications and outreach, program management and general administration. We’re looking for a detail oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal, public speaking and written communication skills.
Essential Functions include:Manage special events, including an annual golf tournament, grantee and scholarship receptions, donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives. |
Plan & implement credit union employee giving campaigns – payroll contributions, PTO contributions, basket campaigns, etc. |
Manage gift entry and donor stewardship using our eTapestry donor management software. |
Provide support to scholarship and grant program applicants and recipients. |
Assist in managing the Foundation’s online application system (SurveyMonkey Apply). |
Participate in the bi-annual application review process and process payments of scholarships and grant awards |
Respond to community inquiries regarding the Foundation’s programs. |
Write, edit, and proofread donor-facing communications, including thank you letters, appeal letters, proposals, presentations, and digital and print campaign materials. |
Support the creation of outreach materials and social media content with the credit union’s marketing team. |
Support the Employee Council (employee volunteer group) in successfully promoting the Foundation. |
Deliver Foundation presentations to credit union staff. |
Attend bi-monthly board meetings and monthly committee meetings and prepare meeting minutes. |

Required Skills, Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of fundraising or event planning experience in a nonprofit setting
- Excellent relationship-building skills and customer service orientation
- Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software, email campaigns, and social media
Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smartphone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs of force infrequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:Part-time - 20 hours a week
Classification:Non-Exempt
The person hired into this position will likely earn between $31.97/hr. and $39.97/hr.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
