Job Description
The Development Assistant will support the NPD team to ensure effective and successful Private label and Branded product launches and customer projects. The Development Assistant will also look to support the delivery of the brand and customer plans by working with the NPD team on new product launches and key customer initiatives.
- Support the team with make up of samples and products as requested Organise the coordination and sending of samples to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Collect, store, and organise benchmarking and market review samples
- Supports the NPD team with concept development activities
- Supports the Process Development Manager with trial and post-trial activities
- Support the Product Developers with concept recipe creation to meet a customer brief or blue sky innovation
- Support the Product Developers by making concept samples for customer visits, submissions and presentations.
- Support the Development function by arranging sample requests for customers and suppliers. Including tenders, benchmarking, and market reviews.
- Support the sales function by sending representative sample requests for new and existing customers.
- Responsible for setting up new shelf-life studies, organizing assessment panels, recording, and interpreting results and trends.
- Champion internal benchmarking panels and market reviews including sample collection, market research, store reviews and trend presentations.
- Organise raw materials and packaging from the factory as needed
Qualifications
- Highly organised, able to multi-task and prioritise effectively
- Good knowledge and passion for food
- Ability to work off own initiative
- Understanding of food manufacturing process
- Self-motivated and versatile
- Clean driving license
