By supporting the design, development, and deployment of the mission platform you will enable critical mission needs and drive innovation for our client.

As a DevOps engineer, you know that listening to and understanding a client's needs is the first step to introducing DevOps methodology to an organization. Your communication skills, combined with your technical knowledge, mean you're well-versed in setting organizations up for success. We are looking for someone like you to bring your DevOps engineering knowledge and help our clients make a mission-forward impact. As an experienced DevOps platform engineer at Booz Allen, you will not only convey the importance of automation and efficiency to your clients-you will be directly involved in DevOps engineering work. Together with a team of experienced professionals, you will support the building and maintenance of a pipeline. You will automate configuration management to provision and secure platforms and tools that host and manage critical applications. Using your software engineering knowledge, you will guide delivery teams on integrating deployment technologies and best practices. You will apply your extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You Have:

• 10+ years of experience with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure
• 5+ years of experience developing DevOps pipelines in GitLab CI
• 5+ years of experience with automated deployment to Kubernetes clusters
• 5+ years of experience with configuring and troubleshooting Kubernetes
• 5+ years of experience with containers
• 5+ years of with automation and scripting, including Bash scripts, Ansible, or Python
• Experience with Helm
• Experience with automated scripts to install and harden operating systems using government STIGs
• Knowledge of networking concepts and how to troubleshoot issues
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Rancher RKE2
• Experience with Rancher or Rancher Multi Cluster Manager
• Experience with Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Experience working in secure environments
• Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA), Kubernetes and Cloud Native Security Associate (KCSA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
