JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Enablement, Digital Asset Manager (DAM), Librarian will be responsible for the organization, management, and optimization of digital assets within our organization's library, with a focus on leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to streamline asset workflows and enhance user experience. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of digital asset management best practices, metadata standards, and proficiency in AEM administration. The DAM Librarian collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient access to digital assets and support the organization's marketing, branding, and content creation efforts.
Success requires focus on integrating asset logic into all marketing process and brand experience touchpoints.
RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with Performance Marketing team members to develop new ways in which to create content asset protocols and processes that enable the UL Solutions brand experience.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive digital asset management strategy, including taxonomy development, metadata schema creation, and asset lifecycle management.
Administer Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform, including user access management, workflow configuration, and system optimization.
Organize digital assets within AEM according to established taxonomy and metadata standards, ensuring assets are easily searchable and accessible to authorized users.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand asset usage requirements and develop workflows to support asset creation, ingestion, approval, and distribution processes.
Train internal users on best practices for asset management within AEM, including proper metadata tagging, version control, and asset reuse.
Monitor asset usage metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of asset management strategies and identify opportunities for optimization.
Work closely with IT and digital marketing and brand teams to integrate AEM with other systems and tools, such as content management systems, digital asset repositories, and marketing automation platforms.
Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to digital asset management, AEM, and related tools, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Serve as a subject matter expert on digital asset management best practices, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders as needed. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of creative, and marketing channels. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in library science, information science, digital media, or a related field; advanced degree or certification in digital asset management is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in digital asset management, preferably in a corporate or agency environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) administration, including user management, workflow configuration, and asset metadata management.
- Strong understanding of metadata standards and best practices for digital asset organization and retrieval.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency in metadata tagging and asset management.
- Familiarity with digital rights management principles and copyright laws related to digital assets.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with other digital asset management systems and tools is a plus.
