This job assists in the implementation, development and optimization of digital content writing initiatives, as part of the digital content team within Marketing and Communications at Ochsner Health. Drafts, builds and edits web content, blog posts and social media posts to achieve objectives; supports online content marketing development; collaborates with the creative media/video, digital content, marketing and brand teams on creative ideas, design options, functionality, implementation and content; assists in review of web data and search engine optimization (SEO) insights to inform decisions on new content optimizations and website writing; participates in the strategic planning process for clients; and assists with web writing and optimization projects, following an editorial calendar.

Education

Required - High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, web design or related degree

Work Experience

Required - 2 years related experience

Preferred - 4 years related experience with bachelor's degree

Preferred experience in digital and social media content development, monitoring, analytics and posting, particularly TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube; writing and editing; and website content management systems.

Looking for experience with social media community management and engagement with followers, content optimization experience, and using Meta Business Suite and TikTok for Business.

Event coverage experience is a plus, including live social media and real-time content creation.

Experience with Google Analytics and SEO would be valuable.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Video creation on behalf of a brand for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other social media channels
  • Strong writing and editorial background, including familiarity with AP style
  • Digitally savvy individual who can customize content to audiences, digital channels and formats
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
  • Experience with search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Familiarity with SEO implement principles, analytics and management platforms
  • Comfortable with posting natively and scheduling to major social channels, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn and using their analytics and link-tracking capabilities
  • Experience in Hootsuite, Sprout, Sprinkler or other social media monitoring and analytics platforms
  • Campaign strategy and execution specific to social, as well as attribution and optimization experience
  • Overwhelming attention to detail and ability to test and proof online content
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
  • Proficiency with personal computers and corresponding software programs and online platforms, including: website online content management systems, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Photoshop, photo editing, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and digital analytics programs (ex: Google Analytics and heat mapping)

Job Duties

This role would cover the following areas, but isn't limited to just these:
  • TikTok channel lead - driving the concept and strategy for the channel, managing the day-to-day monitoring of the channel, creating content to post with video support from the Creative Media team
  • Creating Instagram Reels and videos for Instagram stories
  • Creating videos for other social channels, including Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Livestream program lead: program main point person, organization of Facebook Live schedule, answering question about livestreams, logistics, coordination of participants and scheduling. Creative Media video team will provide production support.
  • YouTube channel lead: partner closely with Creative Media team on support for YouTube channel, including optimizing videos for search by researching and writing video titles, descriptions and tags with high-value keywords using tools including Brightedge and Google Trends, among others
  • YouTube analytics: Track video performance and align with Digital Content analytics team leads
  • Moderate YouTube comments and manage and escalate comments as appropriate
  • Blog writing: creating two blogs per month as part of the blog team with a focus on how to successfully incorporate videos into the blog
  • Manage and maintain agency/vendor relationship and budget for Google ad placement/paid strategy to promote YouTube channel growth
  • Occasional after-hours, evening or weekend event coverage as needed
  • Other related duties as required.
