Digital Integration Engineer

Summary

Simplot is on a transformational journey focused on delivering value to our customers now and in the future. The Digital Delivery Team is responsible for creating and maintaining a modern data and customer experience API layer to support our company's external facing applications. In this position, you will contribute to building and managing API endpoints and data transformation layers and helping drive visibility of the Digital team to those endpoints and data streams across the Digital team as a whole. We are currently looking for an innovative and driven collaborator interested in joining our Digital Team to provide solutions for our Business Partners and help inspire a data-driven customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and support of our Digital Data endpoints and transformations for syndication and web site content.
• Design, build, and maintain reliable pipelines to move and transform data accurately based on architectural standards (using SSIS, SQL, and Mulesoft)
• Build, test, and deploy API endpoints
• Understand Business needs to prototype and productionize a user experience data transformations that provides standardized API endpoints.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for work item management and Git source control, and Mulesoft to participate in design and code reviews, documentation, and subsequently contribute to company-wide standards
• Cultivate cross-functional collaborative relationships with Product Owners and IT Professionals
• Communicate technical and business topics to key Business Stakeholders
• Manage time across project, support, and enhancement initiatives
• Build future data and customer experience API's for a diverse global enterprise

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

• 8+ years of relevant works experience to qualify as Engineer III
• Strong experience writing and understanding advanced SQL queries, and SSIS
• Strong experience understanding star schema data warehouse and SQL server as a whole
• Extensive experience developing API solutions using technologies such as SSIS and Mulesoft
• Experience building semantic layers with technologies such as SSAS, MDX, Power BI, or DAX
• Knowledge of query performance tuning and index design (SQL Server preferred)
• Working knowledge of Data Lake Technologies a plus
• Possesses a growth mind set and eager to learn new technologies/methods to contribute to a collaborative Team

Other Information

5 or more years of experience writing code (such as, and not limited to, Java, C, C++, C#, VB.Net; databases like SqlServer/ Oracle; and Testing tools Experience of multiple full release cycles. Advanced understanding of modern software development methodologies. Advanced understanding of modern software development tools and SCM. Advanced understanding of Software Test methodologies, and an expert in testing tools. Expert in Database Administration. General Project Management. Customer/ Vendor Management. Business Analysis. Advanced Web technologies. Good verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
