The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has an opportunity for a talented Digital Marketing Manager to join our high-powered, in-house Marketing department based in Chicago.

This role is responsible for developing/managing/tracking successful marketing campaigns across all digital networks - with a strong emphasis on email campaigns; building/executing an array of attractive and highly functional landing pages; creating surveys/forms; tracking/analyzing/reporting metrics; and more. Lead gen and social media experience are a definite plus.

Here you'll be involved in an array of exciting projects, from publishing a magazine, executing large-scale ad campaigns, promoting/hosting live events, and more.

We're looking for someone who is creative, strategic, analytical, accountable, a strong communicator, and has a proven track record in generating results.

This is currently a remote role, although some occasional on-site attendance throughout the year is mandatory. We are seeking candidates that reside in the greater Chicagoland (city/suburban) area.

General Description/Purpose: As the Digital Marketing Manager at the Chicago BBB, you will play an integral role in our Marketing department, working collaboratively to create and execute a wide range of advertising, marketing, and sales-related projects. You will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in digital marketing strategies across various platforms, driving growth, engagement, and brand presence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with our business goals and enhance our brand presence across digital and traditional media platforms.
  • Manage and optimize our marketing tech stack, including Google Analytics, UTM tracking, Adobe Experience Manager, and various email marketing automation platforms.
  • Spearhead full funnel email campaigns targeting consumers, lead generation, and member acquisition/retention.
  • Provide expert guidance on leveraging current and emerging marketing technologies to achieve business objectives.
  • Design, write and maintain engaging content for our events, promotions, and other initiatives, including building, designing and managing online landing pages.
  • Implement effective SEO tactics to improve content visibility and website traffic.
  • Oversee and manage digital campaign budgets across platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google.
  • Conduct regular performance tracking and analysis of digital activities using Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics to assess against objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage consumer outreach programs, including monthly newsletters, to build community engagement.
  • Lead multichannel lead generation campaigns, integrating email, social media, print, and PPC advertisements.
  • Create and maintain back-end web processes and form builders for event sign-ups, advertising campaigns, contests, and general inquiries.
  • Collaborate closely with our Digital Advertising Programs Manager to run online sponsorship and advertising programs.
  • Manage domain hosting, SSL certificates, and URL designations for local websites, ensuring a top-tier website experience.
  • Work within project budgets and manage expenses accurately and effectively.
  • Be informed on the latest digital marketing trends and technologies that can benefit our organization.
  • Foster strong relationships with key vendors and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Uphold the BBB's values of honesty, integrity, and positivity in all marketing endeavors.
  • Represent the Chicago BBB and our Marketing team with pride and professionalism.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies.
  • Proficient with modern marketing technologies and software, including various marketing automation platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, tactics, and platforms, SEO, web content development, and strategic planning.
  • Strong experience with analytical tools such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics for data-driven decision-making.
  • Skilled in email marketing automation and adept at automating sales nurturing and follow-up processes.
  • Ability to manage and oversee digital campaign budgets, with a keen sense of tracking and improving performance metrics.
  • Solid understanding of content strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (or Canva) a plus.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and assignments simultaneously while always driving results.
  • Technical proficiency with HTML, CSS, JQuery, Java, and drag-and-drop content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager).
  • Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed deadlines, respect for time management and attention to details.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and current digital marketing trends.
  • Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback.
