Digital Service Expert

General information:

Hitachi Energy is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Digital Business Specialist to support our Digital service Business who thrives in a fast-paced environment as part of the Digital Strategy and Growth team. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks to bring digital knowledge from the market environment identifying, collecting and analyzing Digital and Innovative Customer needs, interfacing HV service units from Hitachi Energy. The position is based in Beijing / Xiamen, China.

The Digital Business Specialist need a technical knowledge on power grids (i.e. AIS&GIS) in order to influence the foundation of new solutions that will represent new source of revenues in line with HV competences and business. The Digital Business Specialist key role will be to support in the elaboration of Business Cases and Business Plans. You need business analysis skills with versatile mind-set to converge technical and economic concepts to understand customer needs bridging with new business environments able to synthetize correctly the information and disseminate it to an audience with different background.

• You will support High Voltage service in the identification and analysis of digital customer needs, elaborating market and competitor analysis in new or improve the current areas of business.
• You will develop the value proposition of new technologies placed as part of the High voltage business as well as Hitachi Energy.
• You will elaborate business cases and Business Plan for Digital Service.
• You will support HV service in the elaboration of material and promotion of the digital service Portfolio.
• You will elaborate Cost Benefit analysis to support HV Service, Force to convince customers to implement digital service portfolio.
• You will collaborate with the strategic business growth of HV.

• Bachelor's degree and above (electrical or mechanical majors).
• 5years+ of working experience, business experience in the field of Transmission and Distribution is preferred.
• Understand the complexity of how to place different technical competences, to build a single project.
• Analyse and propose the value proposition of a new product, system or solution.
• Read, review and synthetize market reports.
• Create a business case and a business plan from zero.
• Skills to understand in high level the characteristics of a new technical solution and able to compare it with the ones supplied from other companies.
• Able to use internet tools in order to look for competitive information about HV digital products.
• Able to understand customers and to collect their priorities and needs.
• Able to formulate your own opinion, backed up with data and confidence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work with people with different backgrounds (technical and commercial), being able to manage the discussion with them collecting the main technical and business digital needs.
• Willing to travel frequently. Facilitation ability is a must.
• Fluency in English language (written & spoken).
