Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will NOT be accepted through this flyer. - This position may require Temporary Duty (TDY) 30 days or less travel to various locations approximately 30% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information SCI access for the duration of employment.
- Employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May be subjected to short notice recall. Must reside within 50-mile radius of duty location.
- May be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekend and/or holidays.
- Position subject to one year trial period unless previously completed.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes analyzing SIGINT data to assess trends and threats implications within critical geographic and functional areas; providing subordinates with operations guidance, direction, and oversight; articulating shortfalls and capability gap analysis to senior leadership; and leading complex technology policy initiatives from conception through implementation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- This announcement uses the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

- Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 30 SEP 2025. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond 6 six years, but not more than 8 years. **NOTE - A current Army employee with personal competitive status who accepts a time-limited appointment (such as term or temporary appointment) will forfeit their permanent status and become subject to the provisions of the term or temporary appointment. Permanent employees who accept time-limited appointments will not have placement rights to the previously held permanent position at the end of the time-limited appointment. Employees who accept such time-limited appointment opportunities will be required to sign a statement of understanding.
