Job Summary
The Director, Business Development may be based anywhere in the U.S . This person will be responsible for achieving bookings targets to develop business for Flex with existing and new customers.
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop new strategic alliances with key customers.
- Develop and/or Qualify leads and create and execute target account plans to understand customer/potential customers' needs and meet with customers/potential customers virtually and in person to better understand their needs and present Flex's capabilities
- Research and recognize customers' and potential customers' business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex resources were mutually beneficial.
- Work closely with the Business Development Team and the Finance Department to control budgets within the department.
- Assist current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex's solutions which include concept development, industrial design, vertically integrated manufacturing of medical devices and/or equipment, and supply chain/logistics, and other services.•
- Represent Flex Ways of Working when interacting with internal & external contacts.
- Using company resources, create and articulate business plans for internal approval tied to quotations for customer acceptance in support of business opportunities.
- Close business by negotiating contract terms with customers/potential customers.
- A Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant field
- Sales experience in the Medical Devices market, with a strong industry network
- Experience with complex deals and contract negotiation
- Strong financial acumen
- Experience with Account Planning and CRMs
- Exceptional presentational skills, both written and verbal
- A degree or background in engineering
- PCBA and/or EMS experience
- Plastics manufacturing knowledge
- Experience with logistics
