About This Position
The Director, FP&A will be responsible for preparing corporate-level liquidity and financial forecasts, budgets, analysis and management reporting. The position will develop and manage corporate financial models and tools as well as corporate and project-level processes related to financial forecasts and budgets, analysis and management reporting. This position will report directly to FP&A, Sr. Director and work closely with Business departments and other Finance teams.
Overview of DepartmentÂ
The FP&A team is currently made up of three employees within an Corporate Finance department. The team’s main responsibility is timely and accurately to deliver corporate-level liquidity and financial forecasts and budgets, related analysis, and management reporting.Â
Responsibilities & Duties
- Review, analyze, and present corporate-level liquidity and financial forecasts.
- Compare forecasts with budgets and prior forecasts for internal and external reporting.
- Identify critical capital needs and changes in valuation.
- Present forecasts regularly in monthly reports and quarterly Board meetings.
- Manage ad-hoc requests for forecasts.
- Provide oversight for the annual budget process.
- Coordinate cross-functionally for the annual budget, including producing the corporate model and summary deck.
- Develop internal materials to track progress against the budget.
- Operationalize the annual budget and monitor forecasts and actuals against it.
- Enhance the corporate financial model and operational materials.
- Design data architecture for smooth financial operations.
- Coordinate with Business and Finance teams to ensure accurate key drivers and assumptions in budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct scenario analysis and identify key opportunities and risks.
- Improve corporate financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Enhance corporate and project-level budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide support for capital financing transaction processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in FP&A, Finance, or related roles
- Understanding of and ability to build and manage complex financial models
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Slides, G-Suite, Slack, and other collaboration tools
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to understand Intersect’s business from a financial perspective, from the individual projects to the company as a whole
- Renewable energy (solar, storage, wind) or other energy experience required
- High attention to detail and standards for work product
- Highly organized, problem-solver mentality
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively through verbal and written communications
- Ability to manage complex and cross-functional projects and processes
- Extensive experience concisely narrating complexity with PowerPoint materials
- Experience working on remote / distributed teams a plus
- Coding skills and experience a plus
- FP&A/ERP software experience a plus

Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone.Â
- Position is part of a remote team, with regular electronic and video communication
- Position requires some travel for company-wide meetups: ~4 weeks total through a calendar year.Â

- Salary: USD$160,000 - 170,000 base salary with 20-25% annual target bonus
