Job Description
Interested in driving Operational Excellence throughout manufacturing and supporting Altria's vision? If you have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Science, along with 10 plus years of relevant experience, we want to speak with you! We are currently looking to fill the Director, Integrated Work Systems position within our centralized Operational Excellence team in Richmond, VA.
This position will lead enterprise manufacturing change to implement an Operational Excellence framework across the manufacturing sites of Altria's Companies. Additionally, this role will lead & develop talent within the Operational Excellence & Strategy group in support of advancing Altria's Vision.
What you will be doing:
- Drive Operational Excellence initiatives and roadmap across all manufacturing sites, aligning with business goals.
- Lead implementation of Integrated Work System (IWS) responsibilities across all manufacturing sites.
- Mentor and develop the corporate pillar team members in driving continuous improvement and manufacturing site performance maturity within the IWS framework.
- Cultivate networks across sites, qualifying manufacturing leadership on IWS responsibilities.
- Lead change management to promote cultural adoption of IWS and achieve sustainable process improvement results.
- Collaborate with vendors to effectively implement IWS plans.
- Continuously benchmark manufacturing technology and trends for future value.
- Communicate effectively with partners, inspiring change through analysis.
- Manage complex projects autonomously.
- Travel up to 25% and adapt to flexible hours to support sites.
We want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or Science
- MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience, including IWS, Lean, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- 5+ years of people leadership experience
- IWS, Six Sigma, and/or Lean certification highly desirable
- Mentoring and change management experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Project management expertise
- Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible work hours
