Job Description
Tomorrow.io’s US Public Sector team is responsible for growing our weather intelligence software platform and space and sensor and satellite technology business with government agencies through software, hardware and research & development contract awards.Â
We are looking for a Director of Partnerships and Channels to drive Tomorrow.io’s revenue and increase probability to win technology contract awards and placement on US Federal and SLED agency major multi-year acquisition programs. Working closely with the team’s Business Development leads, you will focus on building and managing a network of teaming partner organizations that serve as the prime contractor or subcontractor to Tomorrow.io. Partner organizations include major government prime contractors, small businesses and other industry partners; federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs); government agencies and entities; and university research centers.Â
The successful candidate will devise appropriate strategies to identify potential teaming partners and build integrated teams in both the Prime and Sub positions on government programs.
What you’ll do:
- Recruit, enable and manage an ecosystem of Federal Civilian/DoD/Intelligence Community partners that support our US Federal and SLED GTM strategy across the entire Tomorrow.io product familyÂ
- Meet the government revenue quota and program placement goals that require partner participation
- Identify key stakeholders and cultivate relationships within our partner organizations to drive activity within our target Federal end customers
- Enable our partners by educating them on the Tomorrow.io company, products and value-propositionÂ
- Closely collaborate with cross-functional product, solution engineering, and business development colleagues to qualify and respond to RFIs/RFPs with a partner component
- Identify relevant major upcoming Federal and State Programs, contract vehicles, strategic initiatives, and funding sources associated with those programsÂ
- Research and understand the competitive environment at the agency and program level
- Track the status of potential partner opportunities and maintain the status in the government sales pipelineÂ
What you bring:
- BA/BS degree, MBA a plus
- 7+ years of enterprise software and/or hardware partner or channel management and sales experience with at least 3 years in the Federal technology market
- Advanced knowledge of how the Federal technology marketplace works
- Experience with Federal teaming and joint solutions development
- Knowledge of government purchasing and contract protocols, Federal procurement standards, and acquisition processes
- Understanding of Federal fiscal year budgeting and acquisition processes
- Strong analytical and verbal and written communication skills
