About the Role:

At Dr. Squatch, our employees develop, market, manufacture and distribute world-class personal care products, and our People & Culture team is looking for a strategic HR leader to join as Director of Talent Management. The Director of Talent Management is responsible for developing, implementing, and innovating processes for compliance management, employee engagement and other programs. An ideal candidate would have an analytical approach to the talent lifecycle providing data-driven, actionable insights and recommendations. This role will report to Chief People Officer.
This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based at Dr. Squatch HQ in Marina del Rey, CA.
The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $150,000 to $180,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Execute key people programs and processes (e.g., talent management, organizational planning, performance management, development planning, etc.).
  • Serve as a key business partner to managers and leaders across the organization.
  • Drive improvements in our compliance processes and be the primary internal company contact for matters related to employee relations.
  • Promote HR initiatives, such as performance management and employee training & development, by building scalable learning and development, employee motivation and leadership development programs
  • Serve as primary HR strategist for development and rollout of policy changes.
  • Be an engaged leader focused on the development of direct and indirect reports in the People & Culture teams.
  • Be the project manager for many HR initiatives as the company continues to grow in employee count and complexity through continued expansion.
  • Create order from the ambiguity that can be found in People functions.

About You:

  • 10+ years in Human Resources or related roles, with at least 5 years of experience in progressive people leadership positions
  • Someone with experience working with manufacturing employee population
  • Someone with experience working in a high-growth business is ideal
  • Someone with previous experience transitioning HRIS providers
  • Is energized by managing crossfunctional project teams
  • Comfortable engaging with and presenting to individuals at all levels of the company
  • Someone with a passion for employee engagement and promoting DEI initiatives
  • Exhibits our Squatch values
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
  • Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
  • Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
  • Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
