GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Sales Operations will have responsibility for building, executing and maintaining the operational aspects of driving the LL Flooring Pro business through its multiple sales channels. This will include, but not limited to four critical responsibilities; 1) Leading and managing sales operations activities that drive consistent execution of the Pro value proposition across all sales channels. This includes owning the evolution of the value proposition language, all training requirements, the sales management process, the selling process, CRM deployment and execution, goal setting, compensation planning/execution, and coverage strategy/alignment. 2) Data & Analytics - this role will work closely with our analytics resource(s) to build and manage KPI's, leading and lagging indicators, and provide insights from the data on how to improve business results. 3) Strategy ownership and development - be a thought leader with the on-going evolution of the Pro long-term strategy and vision, ensuring a path and plan for consistent YOY growth for the Pro business. 4) Strategic Initiatives - This role, will at times, have the responsibility of leading strategic initiatives for the Pro business that will impact all.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Will be responsible for building and leading a sales operations team and processes that provides the critical levers for the organization to aggressively grow the Pro business. This includes the sales and sales management process, Pro field training content, value proposition language and execution, sales team goal development, CRM deployment and execution, and sales team compensation plans, to name a few.
  • Will work closely with field leaders to ensure timely and consistent execution of sales operation activities.
  • Responsible for the ownership of Pro analytics to support in-depth understanding of business drivers and detractors. Provide analysis to support performance gaps and action plans.
  • Will own and manage KPI's and metrics that provide insight to field execution.
  • Is accountable for the performance of the Pro business, ensuring execution plans are aligned with company goals and meeting required results.
  • Holds regular meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and aligned approach to field sales and store results.
  • Works collaboratively across the enterprise to lead cross functional efforts to drive the business.
  • Takes a proactive approach to working with the field to drive results.
  • Holds business reviews to assess opportunities for sales and support.
  • Sponsors and implements initiatives that align to the company's Pro sales strategy.
  • Meets with the sales and store leaders to assess company performance against KPI's.
  • Implements initiatives across the company and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Keeps a close eye on the sales activities of competitors and utilizes ideas where appropriate.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4 year college degree in business related field or equivalent experience required
  • Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:
  • 7 - 10 years in related multi-site and/or B2B sales experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing a B2B business
  • Proven track record working to KPIs and achieving targets.
  • Ability to efficiently organize and manage multiple priorities and align resources to meet demand.
  • Ability to drive sales through the actions of others
  • Strong analytical skills - report creation and data analysis and delivering insights
  • Excel, Power Point, Word
  • Experience with IT systems required to achieve optimal contact center efficiency and productivity (CRM/Telephony solutions)
