Job Description
The Director of Strategic Sourcing will establish the sourcing strategies, processes, and procedures that are consistent with corporate policy, project requirements and sound commercial, legal and ethical practices. The Director will oversee the activities of the procurement function, including development of purchase requisitions, negotiation of bids from vendors, consultant agreements, tracking of purchase orders, vendor compliance, and coordination and reconciliation of invoices for processing. Oversight of the full cycle of all purchases, agreements and contracts from initiation to completion. The Director is also responsible for managing vendor relationships and service level administration for vendors at the enterprise level in collaboration with the business owners responsible for the daily operations. In this role the Director has an active role in mediating between business groups and vendors in major dispute resolution concerning supplier performance. This role also evaluates vendor base for cost savings opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required. 7 years relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
- At least 7 years of direct work experience in one of more of the following; asset management, procurement or finance, information technology, vendor management is required.
- Previous management experience or leading teams is required
- Strong familiarity and technical competence with purchase management software and/or automated procurement systems required.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing regulations and laws required.
- Proven ability to influence and translate concepts into practice
- Knowledge of sourcing practices, vendors and sourcing strategies.
- Excellent vendor management, contract management and negotiation skills required.
- Excellent budgeting, inventory and cost-management skills required.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and effectively lead discussions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to direct and shift priorities to meet both day-to-day operational needs and longer-term deadlines is required.
Annual salary range: $130,000 - $175,000
CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
