The Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Experience Manager is responsible for executing the internal initiatives that support our strategic priorities for Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at AvidXchange, set by our C-Suite (Governance) team to realize our commitments.

Reporting to the Director of Culture & Teammate Experience, this role requires a candidate who is strong in project management and communication, is very detail-oriented, can adapt to shifting priorities with ease, and can foster an inclusive environment for all people and backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide execution support and oversight to our AvidXchange Employee Resource Groups (referred to as Meetups), creating clarity for their purpose, structure and impact
  • Facilitate meetings with Meetup leaders and Executive Sponsors to gather feedback, provide resources/support for role in Meetups, and maintain alignment to the overall Meetup and DI&B strategic initiatives
  • Partner with our Learning & Development team to execute our DI&B Learning Experiences
  • Organize and execute our enterprise-wide experiences for Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (e.g. RealXchanges)
  • Organize a calendar of events for all internal events (enterprise-led and Meetup-led), identifying areas of opportunity to collaborate and scale across Meetups
  • Organize budgets and track spend across the enterprise and Meetup activities for DI&B
  • Develop expertise in DI&B to bring best practice insights to the Director of Culture & Teammate Experience to enhance the execution of our annual priorities
  • Support the organization and execution of external community events that are led by the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Execute our internal monthly Engagement survey, review results, and share insights relevant for our DI&B engagement activities with the Director of Culture & Teammate Experience
  • Develop written communications (e.g. presentations, SharePoint sites, emails, etc.) to share enterprise-wide through our various internal communication channels
  • Attend the DI&B Council meetings to capture meeting minutes, key decisions and action items
  • Partner with Teammate Communications and Employer Brand to develop external content for our social media channels
  • Plan and execute "just in time" response activities to address external events (e.g. company-wide communications or events to create safe space discussions)
  • Prepare the Annual End-of-Year DI&B Report
  • Assign work to our DI&B Volunteer team for event and communication execution support

Required Experience Qualifications, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Strong capability to influence and provide direct feedback
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills with the ability to navigate conversations with multiple levels of leaders in a single meeting
  • Strong communication skills, able to develop content using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
  • Demonstrate ability to visually convey information and insights through graphs, charts, and other means in slide presentations
  • Excellence in event execution
  • Strong ability to collaborate across teams and teammates
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to make situationally appropriate decisions requiring a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality
  • Ability to remain unbiased to create a sense of belonging for all teammates of all backgrounds, regardless of their perspectives and experiences related to DI&B
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience and 5-7+ years in a professional work environment

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • 4+ years of project management experience, managing multiple projects at once
  • Experience with project management specifically related to DI&B
  • Experience with the structure and execution of Employee Resource Groups
  • Industry expertise in DI&B
  • Experience in people leadership (either formal with direct reports or informal through project work)
  • Ability to analyze data and trends to proactively manage KPIs and understand the story the data is telling
  • Experience in HR (specifically Talent Development, Learning & Development or HR Business Partner)
