This position is responsible for

The DME Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily program operations for their assigned site(s) to include inventory tracking and analysis, brace fitting, documentation management, and charge entry. S/he is responsible for providing superior customer service and onsite management of the orthopedic bracing and supply program. This position will also be responsible for fitting orthopedic bracing and supplies as well as education of the products usage to patients. S/he will be responsible for gathering, tracking and organizing the necessary paperwork to facilitate insurance billing of their assigned site(s).

Your day will be very busy... you will:

  • Oversees the education of the physicians and staff on the orthopedic bracing and supply program and acts as a resource for product Provides education and instruction to providers and other medical staff in the use of equipment and any special applications
  • Utilizes and helps to manage Breg Vision and Breg Claims System as applicable to support daily operations of assigned site(s).
  • Establishes and monitors inventory par levels at assigned site(s). Responsible for the introduction of new products into Tracks all DMEPOS dispensed on a daily basis including costs. Develops and analyzes inventory reports. Creates purchase orders and maintains inventory accuracy for the assigned site(s).
  • In coordination with the billing office, obtains pre-authorization for Worker's Compensation patients and any other commercial payors as Collects patient co-insurances, deductibles and cash pays as applicable.
  • Coordinates with the appropriate departments to gather and maintain tracking data on all claim denials and claims requiring further
  • Provides outstanding patient service and follow up in accordance with policies, procedures and management
  • Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports for management Analyses reports and data for trends and patterns. Suggests areas for improvement including processes and procedures.

What your background will be:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Bachelor's degree in kinesiology or sports medicine is strongly preferred.
  • Must have at least 1 years of experience in one of the following:
    • Orthopedic, sports medicine, or athletic training
    • Office processes in orthopedic or doctor's
    • Sales training
    • Previous medical product experience
  • Must possess knowledge of orthopedic bracing and supply products as well as the applicable procedures for
  • Computer proficient to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems.

Salary / Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000/yr.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary/pay across all US locations. Actual pay is based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographical location, work experience, skill set, relevant trainings and certifications, and business needs. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for a variable comp plan with an annual target at plan of $5,000, paid out on a quarterly basis.
