Electrical Designer

Role: Sr. Electrical Engineer

This role will work closely with the NAM Technology, Automation and Data Analytics team to support project deliverables related to the ECAD for NAM and Wiring Simplification Projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical schematics for Schneider's energy management offer in North America

• Use Electrical CAD (SEE Electrical Expert) to compile the customer project documentation for MV and LV products

• Ensure compliance with ANSI/NEMA standards, codes, and customer requirements

• Coordinate with the project management team to assure projects are completed satisfactorily and on time

• Study technical drawings and specifications of electrical components to ensure that installation and operations conform to designs

• Ensure technical quality and service levels are maintained throughout the engineering lifecycle.

• Continuous improvement of the design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity.

• Ensure overall customer satisfaction and quality is delivered for both our internal and external customers.

• Leads change activity to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction with successful change management.

Required Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Electrical engineering

• Knowledge of MV & LV switchboard/switchgear design, installation, and Application

• Familiarity with Relays & Its function.

• Direct experience with SEE Electrical and/or EPlan / or AUtoCAD knowledge is plus.

• Knowledge of electrical standards IEC, ANSI, UL, NEMA, IEEE, etc

Experience:

4+ Years of experience in Electrical design

SEE Electrical or equivalent tool experience

Experience with offshore teams

Qualifications

Qualification:

BE (Electrical Engineering) or MTech (Power Systems Engineering)
