Electrical Panel Assembler

Description

The Electrical Panel Assembler assembles or modifies electrical or electronic equipment, such as machines, sub-assemblies, and electronic motors.

Essential Functions

• Performs typical production shop operations to support the production department
• Reads and interprets schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions
• Assembles electrical or electronic systems or support structures and installs components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.
• Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Explains assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
• Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
• Confers with lead and/or manager to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.
• Inspects or tests wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results.
• Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years of electrical assembly experience

Preferred Education or Experience

• Safety Training

Pay Range:

Pay Range $42,250.00 - $76,375.00
