MISSION: To advance the health of our patients and our communities by providing outstanding care.DEFINITION: Heads an electrical section comprised of eight to thirty journey-level and sub-journey-level positions; or is first assistant to a higher level electrician supervisor in charge of an electrical section. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Plans, assigns, supervises and inspects the work of electricians, other skilled craft workers, apprentices and helpers in the installation, alteration and repair of electrical wiring systems and equipment.Lays out jobs and estimates labor and material requirements.Advises superiors concerning specifications for electrical wiring systems and equipment in construction and alteration projects performed under contract.Determines work means and methods.Coordinates work activities with other crafts or operating units.Ensures that code requirements, safety regulations and safe work practices are followed.Makes rough sketches of jobs showing gauges, measurements and materials to be used.Makes periodic inspections of existing electrical wiring systems and equipment.Orders and maintains stock of materials and supplies.Supervises the maintenance of tools and equipment.Supervises the maintenance of work records.Drives automotive equipment as needed to and from work sites, in order to transport the necessary tools, equipment, and materials required to perform the job. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION EXAMINATION CONTENT:An evaluation of experience based upon application information and supplemental questionnaire, weighted 100%. The passing score for the assessment is 70%.ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION: Applications will be processed as they are received and added to the list accordingly.Candidates who passed the assessment(s) are placed on a list in the order of their score group for a period of (12) months.
