All about the role:

As software is playing an increasingly significant role in enabling digital consumer experiences, we are gearing up to become more agile, faster in responding to market demands and quicker in identifying new market opportunities. This involves elevating our appliances to digital, software-defined products in a seamless integration of modular electronics, software, and connectivity platform.

We’re looking for an Embedded UI Developer to join us on our journey.

What you'll do:

As a member of the team developing Electrolux’s next generation digital appliances, you will build the user experience of our future appliance UIs and connected ecosystem. Work closely with the cross functional team to bring new consumer experiences from concept to launch with updates throughout product lifecycle. Bring the technical excellence and collaboration skills we need in the heart of our digital transformation.

In detail, you will:

• Develop software using a modern tech stack for connected appliances, with a primary focus on touch screens and other user interfaces.

• Ship small reliable frequent releases of production grade software together with the rest of the team. 

• Create modularized software that is scalable to different languages, cultures, brands, and product categories.

• Work together with other developers, testers, designers, and product managers with shared responsibility for the teams’ success.

• Make our team be the model for a the new normal in appliance user interface development.

Qualifications

• You have 2+ years experience in developing user interface (UI) code for embedded devices for both touch screens and less capable UI’s.

• You have experience in developing software applications for embedded internet devices that are frequently updated in production.

• You have experience in developing touch screen UI code with LVGL (Light and Versatile Embedded Graphics Library) for embedded devices outside mobile phones.

• You need to master at least two of the following competence areas and quickly learn what good looks like for the others:

  • Multi language software integration for embedded environments.

  • Layered software architecture for embedded systems with different chipset performance and UI capabilities

  • Simulation technology for rapid software development of embedded UI’s.

  • Modular test automation for application logic as well as for UI behaviour in embedded products.

  • Using design tokens and design system integration for brand management in graphical UI code.

  • Using systems for translation and internationalization

  • Build pipeline, code analysis, feature flag and analytics tools for modern embedded development.

Where you'll be:

While embracing a hybrid work model, your main location will be our state-of-the-art office in Warsaw's vibrant Wola district.

The office is purposefully crafted to support neurodiversity and is conveniently positioned near "Fabryka Norblina".
