People First in the Bronx

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of eight physicians and seven advanced practitioners at Montefiore Westchester Square.
  • We operate between the Mount Vernon and Westchester Square sites.
  • We maintain strong connections through bi-monthly team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or eligible in emergency or family medicine with emergency medicine experience.
  • 2+ years of emergency medicine leadership experience required.

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

  • Single-physician coverage ensures a focused and independent approach to medical decision-making and treatment provision.
  • Recognizing the importance of family and spending time outdoors, we offer a flexible schedule. We’re always there to support each other when covering shifts.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Our Montefiore site is NY’s first free-standing emergency department.
  • Cater to a diverse population with a low-volume ED with a high acuity directly, providing a dynamic and challenging.
  • Typical procedures that our team does are airway management, conscious sedation, central lines, and chest tubes.

Purpose-Driven Work with Local Impact

Bronx-Centered Care:

  • Our guiding principle is patient-first care, which means we’re focused on the people of the Bronx and nearby areas. You’ll be part of a team that’s making a real difference in the health of our neighbors.

Rewards and Benefits:

  • Compensation: The clinical hourly rate is $200 for days and $240 for nights. In addition to the hourly rate, the medical director will receive $70,000 per year.
