Who You Are and What You’ll Do  

In an ideal world, you have a background in Cyber Security managing penetration testing engagements as a project manager and/or coordinator. You have a passion for a career in cybersecurity project management and theability to adapt to ever-changing priorities and tasks with grace. Having several balls in the air doesn’t faze you in the least! There is certainly real room for learning and growth in this role; we have clients and projects in a variety of industries and across the globe. We can offer you a chance to come in at an entry or mid-level and grow into more senior levels of project management.

As an engagement manager at Bishop Fox, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

• Delivering small (less than 100 hours) to medium (100-500 hours) projects on time, within scope and under budget
• Executing project plans, proactively identifying and managing risks, resolving/ escalating issues and driving projects to successful completion
• Building relationships with clients as measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS), ad hoc feedback, and successive contracts
• Providing support to Program Managers and Senior Engagement Managers by managing small projects as part of large retained security consulting contracts or programs
• Identifying client concerns and conducting effective root cause analysis and corrective action plans
• Creating and managing weekly internal and client facing status reports on each engagement 

Your Education and Experience 

In addition to the above, the following is a list of skills and traits that describe you. If you have most of these, we’d like to speak with you. 

Work Experience and Education 

• +5 YOE of project management experience and +3 YOE in IT related projects and cybersecurity.  
• A PMP certification is a nice to have, but not required 
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in Computer Science or a related field 

Technical Skills 

• Strong understanding of the terminology and guidelines set forth in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
• Well-versed in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly experienced with Excel
• Experience using Workfront or similar project management software and JIRA for workflow management
• Knowledge in one or more of the following IT areas: networks, application development, or mobile application development is preferred
• Cybersecurity knowledge is desired but not required 

Soft Skills 

• Sound judgment and the ability to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction 
• Ability to interact and relate with a wide assortment of personality types and communication styles 
• Detail-oriented mindset and a penchant for multi-tasking. 
• Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus-building skills 
• Ability to navigate difficult client situations with expert negotiation skills and a client service mentality
• A passion for learning and developing new skills
