Engineer II - CAD Modeling
Provide CAD modeling support for the current and emerging capabilities of foreign spacecraft.
What You'll Do:

• Construct highly detailed 3-D geometric CAD models of foreign spacecraft, including static and dynamic characteristics such as external configuration, layout and location of internal subsystems, antenna and solar panel motion, construction techniques, and materials descriptions.
• Construct CAD models according to industry standards and formats.
• Conduct all-source intelligence and open-source (OSINT) research of detailed technical assessments of subsystems and spacecraft construction techniques.
• Provide specific technical expertise, perform high-level analytical assignments.
• Collaborate in a team environment.
• Interact with customers and colleagues outside immediate group.
• Assist in preparing presentations and documents.

• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 5 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• 5 years of CAD modeling related experience preferred.
• Experience with NX preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

• Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
• Work is performed in an office fulltime and onsite at a Government facility.
• May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
• May access other facilities in various weather conditions.

Verification that your current security clearance or government customer access meets the requirement for this position will be required.
Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:

• HIRING SALARY RANGE: $97,500- $121,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
