Engineer II - Infrastructure

What you will be doing

• Configure and Setup Network Appliances for access to business applications.
• Manage day-to-day network configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Network devices.
• Maintaining multi-site network operations over both private and public infrastructure. Manage day-to-day running of Cencora international VPNs connecting over 250 locations together with site-to-site hardware VPN.
• Researching, analyzing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance.
• Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems.
• Setup and configure wireless network that supports communications to internal and external sources.
• Suggests recommended configuration changes to preventive and detective security controls.

What your background should look like

• Hands-on knowledge of IT service delivery operations.
• Experienced knowledge of network and control frameworks and standards.
• Experience working with cross-functional IT teams.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Vendor certifications such as CompTIA, Checkpoint, Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba are a big plus.
• Good understanding of IT operations and infrastructure management.
• Experience in hosted or cloud-based systems.
• Hands-on experience with MPLS, EDGE, IOS, BGP, Infoblox, and various authentication schemes and protocols is an advantage.
• Hands-on knowledge of managing wireless access points is a big advantage.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to successfully interact with team members and Cencora IT service delivery teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically requires 5 or more years of relevant IT work experience.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products.
