The Infrastructure and Cloud engineer installs and maintains cloud-based systems, on-prem systems, and associated infrastructures. This individual will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line's core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:
Key Components
- Analyzes and defines business requirements to determine specifications and standards; designs, implements, and manages all aspects of the Infrastructure.
- Manages access to all systems (physical, virtual, cloud-based) via Microsoft Active Directory or cloud-based access control.
- Ensures that appropriate information security standards (both traditional and Payment Card Industry Security Standards) are met and maintained throughout the infrastructure ecosystem.
- Maintains reports, logs, or other records of security audits.
- Monitors system uptime and performance, troubleshooting and resolving errors.
- Stays informed of emerging physical, virtual, and cloud technologies and evaluate their value to the organization's operations.
- Typically requires experience with one or more cloud computing platforms.
- Handles basic issues and problems; refers more complex issues to direct supervisor.
- Ability to analyze applications and systems.
- Additional duties and projects as required.
Technical Component
- Strong knowledge of networking principles.
- Infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Microsoft Active Directory.
- Physical infrastructure-based hardware (server and storage) and related software.
- VMWare virtualization.
- Multiple cloud provider environments (GCP, Azure).
- Microsoft Windows, Linux, OpenStack, Terraform, Ansible.
- Google G-Suite.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience required and 2 - 4 years experience working with Physical and Cloud systems and software; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment
The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy office setting with very limited exposure to a moderate to loud warehouse setting.
