We are going through an exciting Digital Transformation journey and are looking for an innovative and self-motivated Engineering and Platform Manager for our Digital Products and Client Due Diligence domains who enjoys contributing to the success of high performing teams with a servant leadership philosophy.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the successfulEngineering and Platform Manager will foster an environment of curious big-picture thinkers and pragmatic problem solvers, who want tomake a difference and take ownership.
What you'll be doing:
- Set a Technical vision for the platforms/products under the delegated area
- Demonstration of strong leadership skills driving ownership and accountability within the broader team
- Ensure engineering and other practices and processes are set, evolved, and adhered to by your Delivery Teams
- Direct responsibility for recruiting engineering staff in delivery teams, and involvement in recruitment of other technology staff
- Work closely with the Product team to ensure connection between the product vision and technology
- Manage technology costs effectively including resourcing, vendors, and infrastructure
- Support and drive the delivery of business outcomes within Delivery Teams using OFX's agile delivery approach
- Management and mitigation of technology risks using proper governance
- Building effective onboarding processes for staff in the delivery team structure
- Professional development of direct reports, identifying and nurturing high performing staff while effectively managing underperforming staff
- Ensure all direct reports have clear and measurable objectives which adhere to the divisions approach and relate to team, product, and organizational metrics
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, both Technology and other business divisions including effective ongoing communication approaches
- Ensure all product platforms are secure, reliable, and built to scale
What you bring:
Valuable Experience
- At least 3 years of leading Development Teamsinin fast paced and complex environments
- Experience integrating with third party platforms
- Experience managing technology costs effectively including resourcing, vendors, and infrastructure
- Significant experience in designing web-based, service-oriented applications and integrated back-office systems
- Strong stakeholder management experience with an excellentunderstanding of Agile development methodology and development practices such as Scrum, TDD Kanban, Lean, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Configuration Management
- Experience in Cloudnative environments preferably AWS, open to Azure as well
- Experiencewith distributed source control systems (such as Git)
- Experience partnering with Product and Deliver
Highly Desirable
- Some experiencewith React and JavaScript
- Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) product development
