What you'll do:

The Engineering Manager leads a team of technical staff focused on the development and delivery of high-quality software for the Mission Control system, the Trusted Connection between Autonomy and Human. You would own all people leadership responsibilities for the respective team(s) and are accountable for facilitating the product backlog, managing resources, and holding team members accountable for goals. Further, you would evaluate results within the team to determine whether organizational objectives are being met.

• Responsible for managing a team of engineers toward the completion of business and product objectives, communicating regularly to all levels within the team, department and organization.
• Collaborate with other Engineering Managers, ART Director, and Product Owners as needed to assign priorities, set goals, and monitor team performance.
• Manage cross-team coordination and collaboration, managing dependencies and mitigating external project risks
• Responsible for resource allocation, talent selection, team onboarding, career development, and performance management
• Enforce software development best practices for the team, improving quality, efficiency, and accuracy of the team’s work
• Facilitate backlog adjustments to address product changes and to ensure the developed system/software meets acceptance criteria
• Guide the team through feature decomposition and the work estimation process
• Facilitate team coordination and planning within the defined SAFe processes

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent with 6+ years relevant experience
• Strong technical background in software or systems engineering in a cross-functional development organization, 4+ years
• Experience or interest in Robotics Systems and understanding how they work
• Strong facilitation, technical team coaching, systems thinking, and servant leadership skills.
• Able to collect, analyze, and report data related to team efficiencies.
• Experience working in agile environment and managing relevant processes.
• Openness to work across different time zones and locations in on-site and remote teams
• Curiosity to solve new problems

• Experience working with Linux OS, high-level programming languages (C++, Python), and scripting languages
• DevOps best-practices and CI/CD (Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible)
• Troubleshooting skills (real-time and in-depth analysis)
• Test automation principles and design
• Experience in automotive, logistics, telematics, IoT systems, or transportation industry
• Experience in the development of complex systems or robotics systems
• Experiencing in building and shaping teams
