The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required for the development of an enterprise technical architecture. The Enterprise Architect will translate vision into action by partnering with our delivery teams to develop and facilitate the technology roadmap. This work requires an excellent understanding of business and IT strategy, a principled approach to architectural challenges and opportunities, and a thorough grasp of business, technology, and solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in key project design reviews as part of the methodology process to ensure application designs adhere to enterprise architecture guidelines
- Ensure existing IT assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise
- Partner with key stakeholders to create and maintain the strategic architecture roadmaps providing a short-term and long-term roadmap for IT to plan againstÂ
- Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state.
- Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. In addition, lead the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise.
- Facilitate Architecture Review Board (ARB) conversations and decisions, ensuring that the decisions, and interdependencies between technology, functional requirements and strategic roadmaps are clearly articulated, discussed and documentedÂ
- Oversee and facilitate the research, evaluation and selection of software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.
- Key member of project teams delivering enterprise wide technology projects
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in developing, solutioning, architecting and implementing company systems and integration architecture
- 5+ years experience in a CPG or retail company
- 5+ years experience with ERP architecture
- Understanding of common enterprise architecture frameworks
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving and technical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes
- Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting
- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
- Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design and programming techniques
- Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as choose resources needed to meet goals and resolve problems for a variety of stakeholders, often spanning multiple environments in a business area
- Knowledge of project planning and management, including scope, time and resource direction
- Ability to estimate the financial impact of enterprise (technical, information, solution) architecture alternatives
- Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
- Willingness to regularly participate so that customers and stakeholders feel that architecture is engaged in helping resolve their business needs
Salary Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $131,250 - $175,000 annually.​Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
