Summary

As a senior member of the Global Food Strategy team, this role is instrumental in the execution of the Global Food enterprise strategy and management of the Enterprise Project Management Office. A critical thinker and experienced project management professional, you will:

  • support the Director Strategy in monitoring enterprise strategy execution with the Global Food Leadership Team, including escalating key issues that impact the critical path of project delivery
  • partner senior leaders to ensure execution alignment through the North America and LATAM regions
  • lead strategic enterprise-level and regional projects/workstreams to deliver Global Food's goals, including direct and indirect management of project managers/teams where required.

By leading the monthly Strategy Execution Review (SER) rhythm for North America and LATAM, as well as supporting the Global Food SER, you will ensure the Global Food and Regional leadership teams have visibility of major enterprise projects and category strategy execution, and can allocate resources to ensure their achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead/support key strategic projects where required to ensure the delivery of Global Food's enterprise strategy
  • Direct line management of project resources where required
  • Leadership and management of project teams to deliver strategic project outcomes
  • Deliver the monthly Strategy Execution Review rhythm, partnering functional teams to ensure the NA/LATAM Leaders have visibility of project delivery and can re-allocate resources where needed
  • Support the monthly Strategy Execution Review rhythm for the Global Food LT, partnering the VP Strategy & Innovation and Director Strategy to identify critical path issues, ensure effective program delivery and optimal resource allocation
  • Partner senior leaders to define and execute their initiatives in support of Global Food enterprise strategy, including value drivers and outcomes
  • Lead the formulation and and testing of hypotheses, using structured problem solving techniques, to support enterprise strategy development and projects
  • Lead the synthesis of commercial, strategic and competitor insights, informed by financial and non-financial data and present concise, meaningful recommendations
  • Maintain Global Food's Project Management toolkit for non-IT/Operations projects, ensuring tools are concise, drive robust project governance and meet stakeholder needs
  • Using continuous improvement approaches, ensure the SER and enterprise project management tools improve their effectiveness and maintain stakeholder relevance over time

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 8 years' experience post university qualification in a Strategy, PMO or other project management role in a large corporate, or similar consulting experience
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and prioritise the drivers of value in any problem, then define and lead the work required
  • Accomplished program/project manager with knowledge and experience in leading large complex projects
  • Leads teams of people effectively in both direct/line and indirect (project) relationships, across multiple geographies
  • Champions program/project management excellence, using fit-for-purpose tools aligned to best practice
  • Experienced stakeholder manager at VP / Sr Director / Director level, with ability to constructively hold others accountable to their commitments
  • Excellent written presentation and vizualization skills (story telling)
  • Strong communication, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple stakeholders
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Powerpoint and Excel)

Preferred Certifications

  • Project Management Certification (Prince2 / PMBOK / Agile or similar) OR
  • Post-graduate Certification in Project Management
