Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have at least one year experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic and well-established library procedures related to routine and repetitive aspects of major library functions and developing/presenting library programs.
- Experience working with children and adults, both one-on-one and in group settings.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include weekends, holidays and evenings.
- Must be able to travel to the six MCCS branch libraries on Okinawa.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Basic office skills in typing, filing, good customer service skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience working on various social media platforms.
- Have a strong command of English including speaking, reading and writing.
- Ability to perform and/or present in public.
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment as required by mission.
