Description

We are looking for a dynamic, talented Executive Director, Strategy to join our team specializing in M arket Insights & Strategy for our Filtration business headquartered in Nashville, TN. The role is designated hybrid and can be performed from yourhome office locationwith less than 20% overall travel.

In this role, the Executive Director, Strategy will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Plans and directs the identification of major strategic opportunities that impact the company or industry
  • Delivers recommendations and direction for addressing major strategic opportunities
  • Establishes a plan for the Identification of major strategic opportunities that affect the industry or company
  • Oversees multiple business strategy projects that produce recommendations for addressing major strategic issues, identify major growth opportunities and develop business plans for realizing these opportunities; projects may be within a business unit, across multiple business units, or involve the creation of a new business venture, such as a joint venture, equity alliance, acquisition, etc.
  • Establishes and translates long-term strategic direction to teams in the design and development of strategic opportunities
  • Ensures necessary partnerships with global teams to strengthen the strategy community across countries and business units
  • Works closely with the CEO, COO, Business Segment Presidents and their Staffs, Board of Directors and key internal or external constituents
  • Communicates complex strategy topics clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences through both written and oral communication
  • Anticipates the needs of the business with a strategic mindset; applies strategic frameworks to analyze problems and develop solutions
  • Provides quality assurance for manager-led projects
  • Drives continuous improvement for the strategy function to drive consistency and sustainability
  • Actively leads campus recruiting activities, including brand-building on campus through presentations, social interactions, and other activities on campus; interviews; interviews professional hires
  • Determines incoming project prioritization and staffing assignments
  • Develops, prioritizes, and manages the annual operating plan for strategy projects and the work team

Education/ Licenses, Certifications
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or related subject, required
  • MBA or related graduate degree, highly preferred
  • Minimum of Green Belt certification, required

Experience
  • Significant strategy, managerial, and budgetary experience with 3-5 years of industry and strategy consulting experience in top consultancy environment
  • Broad business understanding required
  • Global experience required: Ability to work across multiple regions and adapt to differences in successful enterprise-wide strategy, including languages, cultures, and decision-making processes
  • Works closely with Market Intelligence, Communications, Product Planning and Sales to build and execute a unified enterprise-wide strategy

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
