Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking an Exercise Planner to support the DTRA Strategic Integration (SI) Directorate. Join us as an Exercise Planner and play a vital role in shaping the experiential learning landscape at DTRA. In this dynamic position, you will design, develop, and deliver engaging table-top exercises (TTXs) that drive workforce development and foster experiential learning.

Your creativity will shine as you design innovative games from concept to execution, developing game mechanics, materials, and presentations. Following each exercise, you'll provide insightful written analysis, offering recommendations that influence future Agency activities, investments, and operations.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role, requiring you to work seamlessly in a team environment to ensure the success of TTXs, whether hosted at DTRA or a specific CCMD. Your expertise in the CWMD community will be instrumental in creating realistic and technically accurate TTXs, contributing to a holistic and effective training program.

The DTRA Strategic Integration (SI) Directorate supports the mission of the Director DTRA by shaping DTRA’s response to the challenges and priorities set forth in the National Defense Strategy, focusing the Agency’s operations, activities, and investments (OAIs) in a manner that maximizes their cumulative effect in support of our warfighting customers. To accomplish this, full spectrum CWMD support requires a flexible, timely and responsive subject matter expert (SME) work force to support the CWMD mission within and external to DTRA, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Services, other U.S. Government, Departments and Agencies, friends, allies, and partner nations as appropriate at home and abroad.

Qualifications

Required: 

• Active TS/SCI
• 2+ years’ experience and a BA/BS Degree 
• Must have experience working in the CWMD community of interest to create realistic TTXs that are relevant and technically accurate. 
• Must have experience supporting the development, design, planning, and implementation of table-top training exercises.
• Must be able to work in a teaming environment to bring together every aspect of hosting a TTX either at DTRA or at a specific CCMD. 
• DTRA and/or CWMD experience. 
• Must have strong oral and writing skills. 

Desired: 

• Military exercise planning experience.
